A whole-home renovation is a construction project, not a decorating one. Sydney's older housing stock hides structural movement, undersized services, asbestos and previous unapproved work, and none of that shows up in a walkthrough.
Ossher Design and Build runs full home renovations across Sydney, concentrated in the Eastern Suburbs and inner east. We take on the whole scope: approvals, demolition, structure, services, joinery and finish, under one contract with one accountable builder.
Founder Adam Ossher is personally on every project. That matters most in renovation work, where decisions have to be made on site, quickly, with the trades standing there.
We price what we find rather than what looks convenient, and report weekly against a fixed program so you can see where the job actually is.

Quality full-home renovations in Sydney generally start around $6,000 per square metre and rise from there with structural work, heritage requirements and finish level. A typical Eastern Suburbs whole-home renovation lands between $600,000 and $1.5 million.
Eight to fourteen months on site for most whole-home renovations, plus three to nine months beforehand for design and approval depending on whether you need a DA.
For a whole-home renovation, usually not. For staged or partial work we can often keep part of the house habitable. We're upfront about this at quote stage because it affects your holding costs.
Yes, and we prefer to be engaged early. Reviewing drawings before they're finalised routinely saves more than our involvement costs, because buildability problems are cheap to fix on paper.
